This immersive workshop combines evidence-based periodontal and implant therapy with extensive hands-on clinical skill development. Through clinical case studies and HYGIENE EXCEL’s Working Model™ approach, participants strengthen their understanding of periodontal assessment, treatment planning, instrumentation strategies, and practical protocols for consistent patient care.
Each participant works at their own fully equipped working station, refining diagnostic skills and hand and ultrasonic instrumentation techniques through guided practice and personalized instructor feedback. Participants explore the selection, adaptation, and effective use of periodontal probes, explorers, scalers, curettes, and a variety of ultrasonic inserts.
Four realistic clinical scenarios—healthy, supportive periodontal therapy (SPT), implant maintenance, and active Stage II/III periodontal therapy—provide opportunities to apply clinical judgment and instrumentation techniques to different patient needs. Simulated tenacious subgingival calculus and realistic appointment timeframes challenge participants to improve precision, thoroughness, and clinical efficiency.
Clinical case reviews connect assessment findings, periodontal classification, treatment planning, sequencing, and maintenance protocols with practical considerations for appointment time, workflow, and practice productivity.
The goal is more than acquiring knowledge. It is developing the clinical skills and systematic approach to put that knowledge into practice.
