Course Description:
Learn tricks of the trade with our Working Model approach, simply put what works! Refine these elements in your appointment, that is, instrument selection, sharpening techniques, selection of probes and ultrasonic unit selection with insert variation. Dental appointments are getting more compressed for time with increased stress. How do clinicians manage appointments and get the necessities completed in a timely fashion? Adopt a structured 12-step process for a hygiene appointment while striving for excellence! Acquire some pearls of wisdom, during this active hands-on workshop whereby instrument selection and creation of different kits will be established; sharpening techniques will be executed, and guidance provided; four different probes, probing techniques and data collection will be reviewed.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Create two different instrument kits, maintenance versus active therapy.
- Analyze instruments that you have sharpened against ideal working ends.
- Sharpen 3 categories of your instruments – sickles, universal curettes, gracey curettes.
- Incorporate three different methods to sharpening in order to retain and maintain sharp blades.
- Review the diagnostic tools necessary to diagnose patients first before instrumentation.
